Hello

I am a Washington State certified teacher and I have been teaching in public schools since 2014. Originally an outdoor educator, I moved to my own 1st grade classroom in 2017. I have experience in 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade. Over the years I have tutored students up to the age of 14, but focus primarily on ages 6-12. My specialty is working with unique learners that succeed more in a one-on-one setting than in the classroom. I work with all elementary subjects. Since students’ beliefs about their own intelligence deeply affects their performance in school, I focus on building confidence, while making learning fun.
